Awards & Accolades

If you have suffered a personal injury in Birmingham, or anywhere else in Alabama, the attorneys at Hare, Wynn, Newell, & Newton are here to help you get the compensation you deserve. You are likely wondering how you will pay for your medical bills and make up for the wages you lost. Hiring the best Birmingham personal injury lawyers can have an enormous impact on the amount of compensation you are able to obtain. Studies have shown that by obtaining an attorney for personal injury cases, you can potentially increase your compensation by up to 300%!

The first thing you need to do is get medical treatment immediately. The doctors at the hospital will check for and treat you for any injuries. The next step you need to do is either call the police or fill out an incident form. If you get hurt on commercial property, the store manager should have a form you can fill out. This documents your accident in case the defendant claims it didn’t take place later. Most personal injury cases are based on negligence. In order to prove negligence, your injury lawyer will have to prove the following:

  • The defendant owed you a duty of care
  • The defendant breached this duty
  • You were injured
  • Your injuries were caused by the defendant's negligence

The first element is easy to prove. We all owe each other a duty of care. When it comes to personal injury cases, the duty depends on the situation. Proving that you were injured isn’t difficult as long as you get medical treatment. The hard part is proving that the defendant breached their duty and that your injuries were caused by this breach.

At Hare, Wynn, Newell and Newton, LLP, we handle all sorts of personal injury claims. Whether your injuries are minor or serious, we can help get you the compensation you deserve.

Once you receive medical treatment for your injuries, you need to contact a personal injury lawyer in the city of Birmingham. We can help prove that the defendant caused your injuries. We can also get you justice.
