Jury Awards Nearly $218M to Kansas Corn Producers In First Syngenta GMO Corn Class Action Lawsuit
Scott Powell and three long-time colleagues are responsible for securing a $217.7 million dollar verdict on behalf of a class of more than 7,000 Kansas farmers. This was the first of a number of trials against Syngenta – a Switzerland-based biotechnology company. Scott’s team, including Jason Earley, Jamie Moncus, Chris Randolph, and Tempe Smith, will continue to represent farmers from 22 more states as they seek to hold Syngenta accountable for the harm it caused when Syngenta’s GMO corn seed contaminated the corn export market.
