We are accepting cases where the individual used one of the PPI drugs listed below (Rx or OTC) for GERD/heartburn, and subsequently developed acute interstitial nephritis (AIN), chronic kidney disease (CKD), kidney/renal failure, or death.

Exclusion criteria includes pre-existing kidney failure, uncontrolled heartburn or diabetes, or taking antibiotics or NSAIDS (Advil, Aleve, etc.)

Cases involve:

  • NEXIUM (esomeprazole magnesium)
  • PRILOSEC (omeprazole)
  • PREVACID (lansoprazole)
  • PROTONIX (pantoprazole)
  • ZEGERID (omeprazole sodium bicarbonate)
