Hare Wynn’s Chris Randolph Named 2018 ‘Rising Star’ by the Birmingham Business Journal

Hare Wynn Associate, Chris Randolph, has been named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s Rising Stars of Law for 2018. This award is given to up-and-coming leaders in the Birmingham legal community. Honorees are selected based on their contributions to their firm, tangible results in their practice areas and involvement in the community, among other factors.

“Chris was selected for this honor because of his proven talent and ability to add value to the team approach the firm takes with substantial cases involving the largest defense firms and corporations in the world,” said Leon Ashford, the firm’s managing partner. “Chris’ tireless work ethic and dedication to his client’s cause are truly inspiring. We are proud to have him at Hare Wynn and look forward to the next challenge for our latest ‘Rising Star’.”

Chris joined Hare Wynn in 2015 and works primarily in the areas of class action and mass tort litigation. In 2017, he was a part of a trial team that successfully represented the nation’s corn growers in the first of eight-certified state class action lawsuits against Syngenta, resulting in a verdict of nearly $218 million.

Chris has litigated civil actions in thirteen states and represented both plaintiffs and defendants at the trial and appellate levels. He has briefed and argued multiple appeals in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and also regularly briefs key motions in trial courts around the country. While his practice focuses largely on class actions and mass tort actions, Chris has also worked on contract disputes, personal injury and wrongful death cases, commercial disputes, and a shareholder derivative suit.

Chris serves on the Horizons School Junior board and on the Alabama Association for Justice Journal Committee. He was a member of the 2016 class of the Birmingham Bar Future Leaders Forum and recognized as a ‘Top Lawyer’ by B-Metro magazine in 2017 and 2018.
