Hare Wynn is pleased to announce that attorney Mike Ermert has been elected by the members of the Birmingham Bar Association to a six-year term on the Jefferson County Judicial Commission.
The role of the commission is to nominate to the Governor individuals for judgeship in Alabama’s Tenth Judicial Circuit in the event of a vacancy.
Service to the Bar and our community has always been important to Mike. He is an elected Bar Commissioner representing the 10th Judicial Circuit, serves as one of two state bar representatives on the Alabama Code of Ethics Reform and Clarification Commission, chairs the state bar task force working to identify ways to limit or eliminate personal identifying information from the AlaCourt online case management system, is a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation, and a member of the University of Alabama School of Law Foundation Board of Governors.
Mike has previously served on the Birmingham Bar Executive Committee, as a member of the Jefferson County case management plan committee, as Vice President of the Birmingham Bar Young Lawyer’s Section, as President of the Birmingham Bar Foundation, and Chair of the Downtown YMCA Board of Management. Statewide, he has served as the Co-Chair of the Litigation Section of the Alabama State Bar, and as President of both the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation and the Alabama Association for Justice.
