Don McKenna Appointed to Stryker Hip Plaintiffs' Steering Committee
Hare | Wynn attorney Don McKenna was recently appointed to the Stryker Rejuvenate Metal Hip Implant Plaintiff’s Steering Committee by U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank who is presiding over the national Multi-District Litigation pending in Federal District Court in Minnesota. Don will work on discovery and trial preparation to benefit the hundreds, soon to be thousands, of claims filed in the Federal MDL proceeding against Stryker for their recalled hips.
The recalled Stryker Rejuvenate and AGB II hips have been found to fret and corrode metal ions into the surrounding tissues causing tissue damage, elevated blood levels of heavy metals cobalt and chromium and the need for an extensive revision surgery to remove and replace the defective implant.
Don McKenna and Hare Wynn have been active in the metal-on-metal hip implant litigation around the country pursuing claims for clients against metal hip manufacturers DePuy, Stryker, Howmedica, Biomet, Smith & Nephew, Wright and Zimmer.
