Nolan joined the firm directly from law school in 1995. He maintains a license in the States of Alabama and Georgia, though he regularly handles cases in other states from Arkansas, to California to Florida.
Nolan has tried many lawsuits to a successful jury verdict. When he had been out of law school just over a year, in one of his first trials, Nolan obtained a $625,000 verdict in an assault case, followed shortly thereafter with a $3,500,000 medical malpractice verdict in south Alabama, and a $2,980,000 nursing home abuse verdict in El Dorado, Arkansas. Nolan quickly became known for his excellent courtroom skills.
Since then, Nolan has recovered millions of dollars for elderly clients in his ongoing quest to fight those who own and operate nursing homes but fail to provide proper care. Other notable cases include a $17,000,000 recovery for two brain injured victims of a plane crash; a $12,500,000 recovery for a paralyzed victim of a pipeline explosion; a $42,500,000 recovery for a group of Arkansas farmers who were defrauded by a major Fortune 100 company; a $6,000,000 recovery in an egregious nursing home abuse case; a $3,500,000 recovery for a 2-year-old victim of malpractice at a local hospital; and a multi-million dollar recovery for elderly individuals who were swindled by a stockbroker with a prominent brokerage company; among many others.
Nolan has recently filed a class action lawsuit against a large and prominent bank that was closed by the federal government, in an effort to recover $40,000,000 in uninsured deposits. Nolan is also prosecuting a recently filed case against ABC Studios and others in Los Angeles, California, on behalf of a Birmingham resident, for the theft and use of his novel and protected idea for a unique television show upon which ABC and others have allegedly made millions.
Nolan was raised on the fundamental principle of fairness to everyone, and lives his life and operates his law practice with that basic tenant at the forefront of his mind. He feels deeply for those who have been wronged and harmed by the recklessness or arrogance of others, and welcomes a fight against those who would act with such disregard as to mistreat their fellow man.
Nolan is a proud family man, married to his wife of 16 years, and is the father of 3 children, ages 9, 7 and 5. His family attends Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
